Perched on top of your car at the next family cookout or placed on the sidelines at the next big high-school game—Road Warrior’s durable, cloth-covered cabinet and versatile, multi-angled design make it ready for anything.

Cumberland, R.I. (January 7, 2014) – ION is known for offering powerful all-in-one speakers and has now announced a new innovation: Road Warrior, a 200-watt stereo speaker system that streams music wirelessly from any Bluetooth music player or smartphone and features a durable cloth-cover cabinet.

“With Road Warrior, it’s all about practicality and powerful sound,” said Wendy Fortin, ION Product Manager. “It’s for people who want the sound of an aftermarket giant kicker subwoofer without the hassle of wiring into your car audio system. Road Warrior is for more than adding a little music to the party—it’s a centerpiece for those who want to fill their outdoor event with energy and actually experience the music.”

With two powerful ten-inch woofers and two one-inch tweeters, Road Warrior offers powerful portable stereo sound for tailgating and outdoor parties. A perfect fit in any trunk or truck bed, Road Warrior is a great addition to any trip to the beach or park. Its cabinet is covered in softyet- durable cloth, so users can place it on top of a car’s roof or hood without worrying about scratches. Road Warrior includes a built-in rechargeable battery or can run off of a car’s battery using the included cable. An AM/FM radio is built in so users can listen to the pre-game show in the parking lot. Road Warrior’s versatile design sits in angled or upright positions and includes multiple recessed handles for easy carrying, plus an 1/8-inch aux input to connect non- Bluetooth music players or phones.

ION will demo and display Road Warrior for the first time in Central Hall Booth 11638 at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
