Hardware/software integration and distribution scheduled to extended beyond M-Audio to include Akai Professional and Alesis

Cumberland, R.I. (April 8, 2013)—AIR Music Technology continue to enhance their recently introduced Ignite music creation software. Offering an entirely unique approach to computer-based music making, Ignite also delivers seamless integration with all current M-Audio keyboard controllers. Moving forward, Ignite will begin offering this highlevel integration with additional M-Audio, Akai Professional, and Alesis music products. AIR Music Technology is the groundbreaking developer of acclaimed industry-standard virtual instruments and audio processing tools.

Since the initial release of Ignite—timed to coincide with the Winter NAMM Show in January—over 20,000 musicians have downloaded their own copy of Ignite, and the community is growing daily. Originally available with the current line of M-Audio keyboard controllers, Ignite is now slated to be included with over 35 products from MAudio, Akai Professional, and Alesis.

“The response to Ignite has been tremendous. We've been getting a steady flow of feedback which we are already integrating into the product, and many customers have started to post and share their Ignite creations to Facebook via SoundCloud.” said Samara Winterfeld, Principal Product Manager for AIR Music Technology. “We are thrilled with the response Ignite has received from our M-Audio customers and are equally excited to bring the same level of integration to Akai and Alesis customers.”

Recently updated to provide deep integration and support for the newest M-Audio Axiom AIR 25, 49, and 61 keyboards, Ignite will be further enhanced to provide this same level of instant integration to a growing list of keyboard controllers from Alesis and Akai Professional—including the popular Akai MAX 49. In addition to keyboard controllers, Ignite will be included with a select group of audio interfaces beginning later this spring and summer, including the new M-Audio M-Track Series and the popular M-Audio Vocal Studio.

Ignite features stereo audio recording and playback of audio, along with a number of effects and audio editing tools. Time stretching is also included and is powered by Radius from iZotope. These features, along with many others, make Ignite an immediate outlet for natural music creation and ideation—its unique interface eliminates distraction, presenting the tools needed for each step of the process and nothing more. Selecting instruments, recording, editing MIDI in the Piano Roll view, trimming audio clips, and the organizing and arranging of clips can all be performed in a clean, inviting interface with straightforward controls and zero clutter.

AIR Music Technology will be exhibiting at Hall 5.1, Booth B45 during the 2013 Musikmesse, April 10-13, in Frankfurt, Germany.
